Everyone knows that an essentials box is a good idea when you are relocating, but do you need one when you are moving office?
The essentials box is designed to give easy access to all the items you are going to need immediately after the move. This could be items such as a kettle, tea and coffee, and basic toiletries. Some people may not consider this an essential part of an office relocation but there are a number of reasons why you should have an essentials box during the move.
When you move from one office to another you need to remember that people will be working hard. When they get to the new place you need to be able to offer them a drink before they start work unloading and unpacking and if you have packed the kettle into a random box then this is going to be much harder to do; therefore, care and consideration during the packing process is important. Why not appoint a member of staff to create the office essentials box while you are packing?
Apart from the kettle, mugs, tea and coffee, you will need to include items such as hand soap for the bathrooms and toilet paper. A few cleaning products may also be needed to wipe down surfaces and clean desks as they are put into place in the new office. You may have cleaned everything before it was packed; however, items are likely to pick up some dust on the moving truck.
