There are a number of things to consider before you actually pack it up and relocate. Think about why you are moving. Perhaps you are moving for a better work opportunity. Maybe you want to move to be closer to family. Or maybe you want to move just for a change. If that is the case, we’ve put together a list of some of America’s most popular cities.
Houston covers a huge land area and more than 2 million people call Houston home. The city has plenty of good job opportunities and good schools to offer those people who are relocating right now. It is interesting to note that Houston’s economy does well when energy prices are high. Energy prices are predicted to remain high through 2011.
If you love the sun you’ll likely love L.A. Los Angeles is home to almost 4 million people as well as the nation’s entertainment industry, Hollywood. Right now could be a good time to move to L.A. Real estate is actually less expensive now than it has been in many years.
New York City
New York City is one of the United States’ biggest with more than 8 million inhabitants. In the last few decades the economy and living standards have dramatically improved causing a big influx for relocation. Despite recent economic woes across the nation, the “Big Apple” has a diversified economy.
Chicago has been hit by some recent economic turmoil, but the economy is still diversified enough for people moving into town. The stability could be due to the prevalent food industry though there are still plenty of job opportunities in many business sectors.
