Let’s face it. Sometimes it’s pretty hard to get your friends to do certain favors. This is especially true when you ask them to help you move. The Next Round is On You
If you need your friends to help you move, offer to buy the next round of drinks at the next happy hour. This trick rarely fails. Remember, most people won’t pack up and move your house for you for alcohol alone, so be sure to return the favor if they ever need it.
Don’t Be Afraid to Guilt-Trip Them
As you try to reign in your pals to help you move, don’t be afraid to lay on the guilt. If you need to move, remind them of all the times you’ve helped them and what a good friend you are. If they are worth anything, they’ll be the first ones on the moving truck.
Give Away Your Stuff
Your friends may actually help you move if you offer to give them your really awesome stuff! This only works when you are moving into a smaller place or in with someone who already has that huge plasma television or surround sound system.
