After almost 15 years at its current location, a fine dining restaurant in Burlington is to move to downtown Greensboro. B Christopher’s, which is situated at 2461 South Church Street, has been in operation in Burlington since 1999. It originally opened on South Church Street in a slightly different location – now occupied by Da Vinci’s Table – and moved to its present site ten years ago back in 2003.
Owner Chris Russell says that the move, which is expected to have taken place by January next year, seems to be promising for B Christopher’s, particularly due to all the new developments that are currently taking place in downtown Greensboro: “Our lease is up and we’re going to be relocating to the area where the Greensboro Performing Arts Center is going in, so it felt like a good opportunity for us,” Russell claims.
The restaurant is to make a move to North Elm Street, with the performing arts center set to be constructed in another block on the same street. Russell admits that he is uncertain as to whether Micro Lounge and B’s Bistro, both of which he owns, should also be relocated. The latter is adjoined to B Christopher’s. “We’re still toying with the idea of keeping that smaller side of the building,” he notes.
B Christopher’s is one of Burlington’s higher-priced restaurants. It serves steaks, chops, fish and spirits, and emphasizes locally-raised, all-natural food.
